DIELECTRIC TEST APPARAT
The device is designed for testing and diagnosing the insulation of power cables, surge suppressors, solid dielectrics, protective equipment and other objects and materials that require high voltage for testing. Can also be used as a high voltage alternating and direct current generator.
It has a bright six-inch liquid crystal display with a detailed display of all main and additional test parameters (rms current and voltage, peak voltage, average output current, output power, leakage current for 10 seconds).
The SKAT-70D device has advanced functionality. In addition to the manual and automatic modes, a test mode using built-in programs is implemented — the device will dial the specified voltage at the speed specified in the program automatically, withstand the specified time, remove the voltage and display a full report on the screen. The parameters and names of 10 programs can be edited using the user menu. Reports of the last 50 tests are saved in non-volatile memory and are available for viewing and printing using a printer connected via RS232 (optional). There is a real time clock.
There is an automatic mode for preliminary burning of defective insulation. This mode is used in case of insulation breakdown in couplings and in floating breakdowns to reduce the breakdown voltage to the operating voltage level of the burning installations. This mode can also be used to charge capacitors in acoustic shock wave generators.
